The Challenge

My Role
I work on the development and maintenance of features for the app (React Native) and the APIs (PHP) supporting it. Key contributions include:
- Refactored onboarding and account opening flows, improving architecture, validation, and automated testing
- Implemented push notifications segmented by user and topic via Firebase Cloud Messaging
- Set up an OTA updates pipeline (EAS Update) to control app version releases across environments
- Optimized backend performance, eliminating an N+1 query issue
- Contributed to authentication, biometric validation, and the app's white-label architecture
- Migrated the styling solution for the app, improving maintainability and theme support
- Collaborated with product, design, QA, and backend teams to ship financial features to production
